The 1200 testastretta is basically the same engine used in the Multistrada 1200, and those bikes are meant to travel long distances and harbor up lots of miles. The monster is quite comfortable with it’s wide seat and ball busting tank. But the V2 is not bad either, but a bit more sporty. The V2 feels a bit more agile and slim.

2023年4月19日 ... Thinking about getting a Ducati and wanted to know how many actually do maintenance themselves compared to taking it to a professional. The Ducati would probably be a better distance bike. The Sportster S is pretty lacking in suspension travel. You'll want more than an inch of travel for any long distance. hey guys. I'm contemplating the idea of buying a Ducati st2 made in 1999. 35k miles, the guy wants around 800$. it needs a new battery and new fairings (I can go without fairings for the time being) new chain tyres and sprocket. Now, having bought a brand new 821, after 2 years - not a scratch on it. I know that chains are quite robust. But random bad stuff just happens in racing. I blew a gearbox up going into a 100 mph corner and luckily didn't drop it in the oil. My post was really looking for any experience with ducati finance and if it's a good option for a temporary thrill with minimum out lay. Monster is more for lots of street and maybe once a year track day. In an ideal world I’d want both. Monster is more comfy for sure (at least on 848/1098, haven’t got to sit on a V2 streetfighter), but streetfighter is a lot better body position for real track days, if you do them semi regularly.

Their scramblers are a bit more functional than Ducati’s. Their scrambler looks like Ducati’s, but the engine looks very similar to a liquid cooked DVT desmo from Multistrada or diavel. Aprilia and Moto Guzzi are brands with a good dealer networks.

The differences are paint, wheels, engine paint. The S model gets different colors, machined cast wheels, and a gloss black on the engine as opposed to flat black.

The only bike with navigation is the multi V4S. Other than that is just enables you to change music and answer your phone from the left switch. on the bigger bikes with the better dash it gives you a better display so you can see who is calling and what music is playing. If you are riding in terrible tWings, front and rear fender, still waiting in the fwd gas tank panel, brake ducts and racing seat.
